A very pleasant, if slightly overcast day, in the picturesque setting of the Chipperfield Ranges Complex at Baldwins Gate saw another tense, nail-biting display of shooting of the highest order.
Thankfully, the stifling humid weather of days previous had given way to a cooler, more palatable spell of weather for the duration of the event, which was welcomed by all.
The hopes and dreams of each and every individual competitor would soon be either dashed or confirmed, as the official results were posted for all to see, ahead of the much anticipated prize-giving ceremony.
At this juncture in proceedings, all the competitors' kit-and-caboodle had been safely packed away, and the time for relaxation, anticipation, and in some cases commiseration had arrived, as SSRA Chairman Richard Tilstone commenced his address.

Master of Ceremonies for the occasion was SSRA Chairman Richard Tilstone, whom delivered his words in his usual smooth manner.
Making the presentations of the awards was SSRA President Mike B.P. Willcox.
And so, on with the show! The first set of awards to be presented were the Staffordshire Open Prizes.
