SSRA Air Section - Individual Air Pistol Leagues - Winter 2018/2019 - Medal Presentations

The City of Stoke Rifle and Pistol Club have done it again, with another superb haul of medals in the Staffordshire Smallbore Rifle Association - Air Section - Individual Air Pistol Leagues - Winter 2018/2019.

Brendon Lewin finished a very creditable 2nd Place in the SSRA Air Section - Winter 2018/2019 - Individual Air Pistol 'A' League.

In the SSRA Air Section - Winter 2018/2019 - Individual Air Pistol 'B' League, Les Tolley finished in 1st Place, Dom Paskin finished in 2nd Place, and Gordon Abbotts finished in 3rd Place.

Well done, and sincere congratulations. Can this feat be bettered in the Summer 2019 Season? We shall wait and see.

The SSRA Individual Air Pistol League - Summer 2018 - was a very closely fought affair. After Round 10, a mere 0.06 points separated the top three competitors.

Therefore, finishing the season in First Place was Haley Platts, Lichfield, with a total points score of 972.58.

In Second Place was Bryan Hempstead, City of Stoke, with a total points score of 972.53.

Third Place was taken by Scott Turner, City of Stoke, with a total points score of 972.52.

As can be seen from the photographs shown above, Bryan Hempstead and Scott Turner received their respective SSRA Individual Air Pistol League - Summer 2018 Medals from Alan Whitmore who conducted the presentation ceremonies.

Congratulations to the three medal winners. Let's hope that the Winter 2018/2019 season will be just as closely contested.

City Of Stoke-On-Trent Rifle And Pistol Club - Clean Sweep Of Air Pistol Individual League Medals 2017/2018

What a remarkable season the City of Stoke-on-Trent RPC had in the SSRA Air Section - Individual Air Pistol League - Winter 2017/2018.

To have one shooter gain one of the prestigious medals would be considered a great achievement.

To have two shooters from the same club winning medals in the same competition would be fantastic.

But to have three shooters from the same club winning medals in the same competition - thereby taking the whole spoils - is almost unheard of. Certainly in the recent history of City of Stoke RPC. Until now that is.

Mike Baxter intimated that in all the years that he has been shooting at City of Stoke RPC - stretching back to around 1985 - this has never before happened at the club.

A great achievement by all. Well done done, and hearty congratulations.
