Staffordshire Short Range Smallbore Rifle Championship 2018 - Final Results

The home range of Rugeley Rifle and Pistol Club once again hosted a very closely contested Staffordshire Short Range Smallbore Rifle Championship Final.  This competition always provides the shooters with an exacting challenge of their marksmanship skills, and this year's event was no exception.

In complete contrast to the list of finalists representing a varied selection of clubs at the 2017 Finals, this year's Final could be billed as a 'Head-to-Head' encounter with only two clubs being represented - Leek and Rugeley. Nevertheless, the competition was as fierce as ever.

In addition, a special mention must go to Alex Buttery.  This talented young man, who was a mere eleven years of age when he came second in the Class 'D' Final in 2017, and having been earmarked as 'one to watch out for in the future' is continuing his progress very nicely indeed.

Many thanks to all the competitors for taking part in the event, and to those officiating.

Finally, congratulations to the Winners, and 2nd and 3rd placed competitors.  Well done to you all.

We look forward to seeing you all at next year's Championship.
